Research Interests
My research interests are focused on performance enhancement, primarily effective applied sport, exercise, or performance psychology practices, techniques and interventions. Within this area of interest, I am specifically interested in: sport injury prevention and rehabilitation, self-efficacy in performance, and effective practices for online learning and instruction in sport and exercise psychology.
I am comfortable utilizing quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methodological approaches to conduct my research. I also enjoy involving other students and colleagues in my research. For example, I founded a student organization aimed at conducting research in sport-related domains for both graduate and undergraduate students to gain valuable experience in the research process and in serving the community. In addition to involving other students in my research, I also collaborate with both students and faculty in other domains. I have partnered with colleagues in fields such as: exercise physiology, counseling, psychology, instructional technology, and educational leadership, on research that has been presented at international, regional, and university conferences.
